Dorbrook Recreation sprayground park in Colts Neck to remain closed

A popular playground and waterpark in Monmouth County will remain closed for a few more weeks while repairs are made.

The sprayground park at Dorbrook Recreation Area in Colts Neck is undergoing upgrades to its water filtration system. The nearby playground will also get some resurfacing.

The repairs were started in April. Officials hope to have them completed by mid-August, but can't make any guarantees.

Parents and children say that they are angry about the delay and don't understand why the repairs were done during the summer months.

Park officials tell News 12 New Jersey that the sprayground renovations could not be made in the winter. They also say that the playground has fewer visitors in the summer months.
