Forecast: Temperatures over 90 expected into next week

Temperatures across New Jersey reached well into the 90s Friday afternoon. Temperatures are expected to stay in the 90s into late next week.



News 12 New Jersey meteorologists say that conditions are expected to remain hot, so residents are advised to use caution if they go outside. The National Weather Service issued an excessive heat warning for most of the state through the weekend.



Friday's overnight hours could see some scattered thunderstorms. Temperatures are expected to dip to the mid-70s.



Saturday is expected to be extremely hot and humid. Temperatures could reach the upper-90s. Meteorologists say that the humidity may make it feel like it's above 100 degrees.



Sunday is also expected to see hazy, but sunny conditions. Temperatures should reach the mid-90s.
