A dock attendant is being credited along with firefighters for helping to rescue six people, including four children, from the Hudson River after their boat capsized near Ellis Island.
The 15-foot vessel tipped over around 2 p.m. after it began taking on water.
A National Park Service spokesman tells News 12 New Jersey that a dock attendant jumped into the water to help rescue the victims.
The Jersey City Fire Department and NYPD Harbor Patrol also responded.
Officials say that the children aboard the boat were 11-year-old twins, along with a 9- and 5-year-old.
The six passengers were taken to Jersey City Medical Center to be checked out, but are expected to be OK.
