3 firefighters injured battling fire at Taylor’s Towing in Wall Township

Three firefighters from the Glendola Fire Department were injured while fighting a fast-moving fire in Wall Township Thursday.
Firefighters faced high heat and humidity while trying to gain the upper hand at Taylor's Towing building on Hurley Pond Road. Temperatures climbed into the 90s while crews were dousing the flames.
The injured firefighters sustained injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening. One firefighter was treated at the scene. The two others were taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center.
The Monmouth County Tanker Task Force responded to the scene because there were no fire hydrants in the area.
Traffic was diverted in the area for about five hours while crews worked to put out the fire.
