Police officer, firefighter rescue 2 from burning Hazlet home

A police officer and volunteer firefighter are being credited with saving two people from their burning home in Monmouth County.



Hazlet police say Officer Nicolas Logothetis and Frank Harris were working in the area of Seventh Street when they were alerted to a fire around noon Friday.



They found the back of the home in flames and quickly helped the couple inside escape.



No injuries were reported.
