Officials in Hudson County have filed charges against a mother after her 2-year-old daughter died inside a Jersey City apartment, according to a family member.
The child's relative tells News 12 New Jersey that the child's mother, 23-year-old Tracy Mitchell, was arrested Tuesday and charged with child endangerment.
The child, identified by the family member as Miley Mitchell, died Tuesday inside an apartment on Union Street.
Neighbors told News 12 New Jersey that the little girl's mother carried her dead body to at least three separate homes looking for help.
Authorities have not released any official information about the incident or how the girl died.
