Fake ballots with Sanders’ name scratched out distributed in Hudson County

Some Hudson County voters say that fake voting ballots with Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders' name scratched out were left on their doors Tuesday.
Priscilla Rosario, of North Bergen, says that when her grandmother received the ballot she knew something wasn't quite right about it. She posted it on Facebook and learned that several other people in the area, mostly Spanish speakers, also received the fake ballots.
On the fake ballot, Hillary Clinton and the primary candidates on her ticket are highlighted. But next to it, Bernie Sanders' name is whited out. It's meant to look like he isn't on there. Rosario says that the trick worked on her grandmother.
She says that she feels that it was sent to manipulate voters into picking Hillary Clinton and turning away from Bernie Sanders. Clinton won the New Jersey primary.
"I definitely wanted somebody to know because I don't think that it's fair," Rosario says. "[My grandmother] doesn't really speak English or read English very well. She's being manipulated."
The flier does not indicate who sent it or where it came from. It is not illegal to distribute a flier like this.
News 12 New Jersey reached out to the Clinton campaign to see if they knew who left these fliers around Hudson County, but did not receive a response.
A spokesperson for the New Jersey Democratic Party says that there may be some campaign finance violations involved if the fliers came from a campaign, since there's no line saying who paid for it.
Sanders says that he will continue to fight for the nomination until the Washington primary next week and that he will go to the Democratic National Convention in July.
