Police to conduct DUI checkpoints for holiday weekend

As celebrations begin across New Jersey for Memorial Day weekend, law enforcement will be out in full force to crack down on drunken drivers.

One of 19 DUI checkpoints throughout the state will be at Route 35 in Neptune City.

People who live nearby say the strip is a hotbed for speeding and drunken drivers, especially with the bar scene in the area.

Officers will also be looking for seatbelt violators.
