5 people shot on Isabella Avenue in Newark

Detectives recovered four guns and a large quantity of marijuana from the scene of a shooting in Newark that sent five people to the hospital.



Police were called to 102 Isabella Ave. around 8 p.m. for reports of gunfire. Two of the victims are listed critical condition. The other three have injuries that are not considered to be life-threatening.



Newark Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose says that police found weapons and a large amount of marijuana inside the home. Some guns were also recovered outside on the street.



It was not immediately clear what led to the shooting or if anyone was arrested.
