The Statue of Liberty was reopened Saturday after a bomb threat prompted a mass evacuation and closure Friday.
According to National Park officials, someone called just after 11 a.m. and threatened to blow up the Statue of Liberty.
Hundreds of tourists and park personnel were safely evacuated from Liberty Island.
The NYPD and park police made a sweep of the area around the statue, focusing their efforts around a locker. They eventually gave the all-clear, saying that no threats were found.
Tours at the park have since resumed normal operations.
Park officials say they have not received any other threats against the Statue of Liberty.
