A Stamford city representative is pushing for the draft of an Airbnb ordinance.
Board of Representative Vice Chair of Operations Committee John Zelinsky met with the Land Use Committee Thursday.
Zelinsky told the committee the Airbnbs in Stamford are causing parking, traffic and safety concerns.
He says Airbnbs should not be eliminated, but should be regulated.
Zelinsky says he is drafting up an ordinance in the hopes the Land Trust Committee will review it during next month's agenda.
Last year, 3,400 travelers used Airbnbs in Stamford, according to Zelinsky, who says that's more than in Norwalk and Bridgeport.
The Land Use Committee is scheduled to meet again at the end of the month.
