Spooky Fest scares up fun at Tanglewood Preserve

There's a scary celebration underway this month in Rockville Centre.
Spooky Fest opened Saturday night at Tanglewood Preserve.
The event features non-spooky attractions for younger kids -- along with scary mazes and a haunted house for older ones.
Spooky Fest has already had more than a thousand visitors.
It's the Center for Science, Teaching & Learning's biggest fundraiser.
"Every year it's so much fun for us and the money that we raise, we do wildlife rescue, and the money that we raise goes to support our animals through the winter, so it's an important event for us as well," says Rayann Havasy, with the center.
Spooky Fest runs on certain days this month, including Oct. 12, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26 and 27 . It will also be open the Saturday after Halloween, Nov. 2.
