Several special needs athletes in Freehold are now part of a new cheerleading team.
The program at World Cup Cheerleading began last month. Parents and teammates say the hour they share together every Saturday morning has helped the children build confidence and social skills.
Volunteers run fundraisers throughout the year to finance the program.
