Severe weather today caused major delays at New Jersey's airports, with some of the longest at Newark Liberty International Airport.
The Port Authority blamed severe thunderstorms in the Northeast for delaying numerous inbound flights. They say United Airlines, the airport's largest carrier, is experiencing the bulk of flight delays and cancellations.
Further delays are possible, as more rough weather is forecast for this evening.
As of early evening, Newark Liberty is experiencing one-hour delays for departing flights and up to three hours on arrivals.
