Severe thunderstorms expected to cross through New Jersey this evening
Heavy rain and strong winds are expected to create a mess in parts of New Jersey this evening.
News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Dave Curren says that the storms were expected to start around 7 p.m. and may bring heavy rain and damaging winds.
Curren says that the conditions are right for the possibility of a tornado in eastern Pennsylvania, right across from the New Jersey border. But Curren says that he does not believe that any tornadic conditions will develop in New Jersey.
Friday’s overnight hours should see mostly cloudy skies with some scattered rain showers. Temperatures will be in the upper-60s.
Saturday will start off cloudy, before giving way to more sun. High temperatures will be around 83 degrees. Saturday night is expected to see clear skies with temperatures cooling into the mid-50s.
Sunday will see sunny skies with a high of around 70 degrees. Overnight lows will be in the mid-50s.
