U.S. Sen. Bob Menendez was at a health center in Passaic County Monday morning to discuss the latest in the federal COVID-19 response.
Menendez says New Jersey will receive about $13 million in federal aid to support coronavirus response, but listed several reasons why it’s not nearly enough.
He included those who don’t have health insurance, not visiting doctors when sick, parents who must work having to stay home when kids don’t have school and he's asking Homeland Security to keep ICE agents at bay when someone wants medical care.

“I do not want to see ICE agents at health facilities, hospitals and other things because disease and viruses knows no quarter,” he said.

While visiting the North Hudson Community Health Center in Passaic, he called on the federal government to support the $8.3 billion coronavirus emergency funding package to help in a variety of ways, including low income parents when kids stay home from school.

He also called for money for facilities which are still waiting on its first COVID-19 test kits.
