Ramapo University school
officials say an early morning accident inside the school’s library sent
a construction worker to the hospital.
School officials confirm the
worker was injured inside the library where construction work was being done.
News 12 is told workers were
conducting a standard pressure test on what’s known as the chiller line on the
second floor of the building when a gasket failed and struck the construction
worker.
The worker was immediately taken
to Hackensack University Medical Center. News 12 is told first
responders, along with contractors, shut down construction until OSHA officials
could conduct an assessment.
There is no update on the
worker’s condition or identity.
There are no other injuries, and college operations are continuing as normal.
