Reports of an armed suspect at Rutgers University Livingston Campus are not true, according to school officials.
Posts on social media Tuesday afternoon described an active shooter on campus. Rutgers police did respond to reports of a suspicious person on campus.
When officers arrived, they found the person in question was unarmed and was not a threat.
