A new report finds Connecticut is one of the best places in the country to raise a child.

Save the Children released its annual End of Childhood report, detailing the best and worst places for children to live.

It found that 1.2 billion children globally are at risk of losing their childhood due to poverty, conflict and gender discrimination.

The U.S is ranked 36 out of 175 countries.

Connecticut came in fifth nationwide, and has the lowest rate of rural child poverty in the country.

Worldwide, the best countries to raise children were Singapore and Slovenia.
