The remains of a New Jersey native who was killed in a drone strike in Jordan earlier this week have returned to the United States.
Sgt. William Jerome Rivers, of Willingboro, along with Sgt. Kennedy Sanders and Sgt. Breonna Moffett was killed in the attack.
President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden joined the grieving families at Dover Air Force Base for the dignified transfer of the fallen heroes.
The United States military launched an air assault on dozens of sites in Iraq and Syria on Friday as an act of retaliation for the soldiers’ deaths, according to the Associated Press.
