A woman who allegedly stole more than $100,000 from a Glen Rock bank while wearing a red wig appeared before a judge in federal court Friday in Newark.
Michelle Cantatore, 51, of White Plains, New York is charged with one count of bank robbery after she allegedly walked into the Glen Rock Savings Bank on Feb. 18 and demanded money at gunpoint.
A fake gun, described by law enforcement as a paintball gun, was recovered a block away from the crime scene.
Cantatore was arrested at the Borgata Hotel in Atlantic City on Thursday, where she was apparently a resident.
Investigators were initially unsure whether the robber was a man or a woman.
