Jersey Buzz: Ray Liotta gets posthumous Hollywood Walk of Fame star; 'hip-hop violinist' Miri Ben-Ari comes to Newark

On the same day of Ray Liotta's last movie "Cocaine Bear,” the actor will be recognized with a posthumous star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Liotta will receive a posthumous star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Friday. The actor, who is from Union and is best known for his breakout role in "Goodfellas,” passed away in his sleep May 2022. He was 67. Liotta's daughter, Karsen, will accept the honor on his behalf. Liotta's last movie before his death, "Cocaine Bear," is scheduled to open in theaters Friday.
Israeli American violinist Miri Ben-Ari, who lives in Fort Lee, gained the nickname “the hip-hop violinist” for her work with artists like Jay-Z, Kanye West, John Legend, Janet Jackson, and more. The Grammy Award-winning artist will perform in a “Symphony of Brotherhood" concert this Sunday at Wells Cathedral Church in Newark at 6 p.m. with gospel musician Derrick Starks. The concert, in honor of Black History Month, is free but advanced registration is required.
