Quadrantid meteor shower to peak tonight
The first meteor shower of 2012 will kick off the new year of sky watching with the lesser known Quadrantid meteor shower peaking tonight.
The best viewing time for the meteor shower is between 3 a.m. and 6 a.m., after the bright waxing gibbous moon sets.
