Police: Woman fatally struck in Gloucester Township hit-and-run

Police responded to the Black Horse Pike in Gloucester Township Monday just before 10:30 p.m. between Almonesson Road and Route 42.

A woman died in Gloucester earlier this week after being hit by a car, police said Wednesday.
Police responded to the Black Horse Pike in Gloucester Township Monday just before 10:30 p.m. between Almonesson Road and Route 42.
Police said a woman was found with life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle that did not remain at the scene.
Other motorists remained with the victim until police and EMS arrived. The woman was transported to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead. She was identified as Elaine Huber, 58.
Police said that a dark-colored car that may have front-end damage was involved. Newly released video shows the vehicle believed to be involved.
