Police: Woman attacked, robbed on Grand Concourse in Bedford Park

Police are searching for the suspect who robbed a 76-year-old woman in Bedford Park.
Police say the victim was entering her apartment on Grand Concourse on Sept. 20 when the suspect approached her from behind, threw her to the floor and began to strangle her.
The woman says her attacker demanded money, and got away with $500. 
The victim was taken to New York Presbyterian Hospital and treated for bruises to her neck and legs.
The suspect is described as a man standing at about 5 feet, 11 inches tall. He is in his late 50s or early 60s.
