Police have arrested a man who they say was involved in the fatal shooting of a 22-year-old man in Van Nest.

It happened June 19 at Baker and Garfield streets.

Police say the victim was sitting inside his car when the suspect drove up and shot him. Authorities have arrested 20-year-old Thomas bowels in connection to the deadly shooting of Jose Velez.

The man was taken to Jacobi Hospital where he later died.

Police are still looking for Micheal Rodriguez, who they say they believe was the shooter.
