Police are searching for the suspect responsible for placing a skimming device on an ATM at a CVS in Brooklyn Heights.
Police say a man walked into the CVS on Henry Street on March 11 and placed a skimming device and a pinhole camera on an ATM. Police say the device is used to record customer account numbers when they enter their card to withdraw money. The pinhole camera then records the PIN input by the customer. The data that's collected is later used to clone cards and withdraw money.
Police warn customers to make sure their cards fit snug into the ATM and cover the key pad when entering their PIN.
The suspect was caught on surveillance, and police are asking anyone with information to contact them.
