Police search for gunmen who killed bodega clerk in Newark
Police are looking for the person who shot and killed a bodega clerk in Newark.
Authorities say 55-year-old Felix Rosario was behind the counter at Dalbert Grocery Tuesday morning when someone came in, opened fire and left.
Rosario was rushed to University Hospital where he was pronounced dead sometime after 9 a.m.
Police say there are currently no suspects in the fatal shooting and that they are asking the public for their help in finding the person who gunned down Rosario.
Residents in the area say they do not know why Rosario was targeted.
A spokesperson for the Essex County Prosecutor's office could not say whether robbery was the primary motive for the killing.
