Police say a man was shot nine times and was dropped off at a hospital in Paterson, where he later died.

They say the man was dropped off by car at St. Joe's Hospital in Paterson early Saturday morning.

He was rushed into surgery but later died.

Police say they don't know who left the man there or where was shot. Anyone with information is asked to call Paterson police.
