Police say multiple officers were involved in a chase from Patchogue to Freeport that ended with the arrest of a man in a string of burglaries.
According to investigators, the incident started at Lucky Lotto in Bohemia just after 9:30 p.m.
Then, police say, just before 11 p.m., police spotted a white van at the 7-Eleven on Waverly Avenue that matched the car wanted in connection with a burglary.
The driver took off for miles. Police say after almost an hour, John Miller, of Brookhaven, was finally stopped in Freeport and arrested.
According to police, Miller has been charged with three counts of burglary and driving under the influence of drugs.
Police say Miller is connected to burglaries that occurred at a Walgreens on Route 112 in Medford on May 19, Sai Cards and Gifts on Portion Road in Lake Ronkonkoma on May 19 and Lucky Lotto in Bohemia on May 20.
Miller's passenger, Annette Powers, of Patchogue, was also arrested for burglary and possession of a controlled substance.
