The body of a man found over the weekend in East Orange has been identified, and his death ruled a homicide, the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office said in a new release.
The body of 25-year-old Kpama Silver, of Newark, was found Saturday in the area of North 15th Street and Fourth Avenue.
An autopsy determined that Silver died as a result of a gunshot wound, and his death was ruled a homicide, the prosecutor’s office said.
Authorities are investigating whether Silver was shot at the location he was found, Essex County Chief Assistant Prosecutor Thomas Fennelly said in the release.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Prosecutor's Tips Line at 877-847-7432.
