Police in Cumberland County are hoping the public can help them solve a case involving a dead dog found in the woods.
Millville police say that someone found the dog in a crate abandoned in the woods off Kates Boulevard. The dog had on a leash, collar and a blue and white sweater.
The 6- to 9-month-old brindle pit bull mix was found on Jan. 24. Authorities say that the dog most likely died from human neglect and that there were no signs of disease or trauma found.
Anyone who may have information about the incident or the dog’s owner should contact Sgt. Ed Zadroga at 856-825-7010, ext. 7203.
