Police confiscated chairs set up by local residents Thursday to snag their spots for the Toms River Halloween parade.

To avoid people claiming spots too early, police asked residents to refrain from setting out their chairs until noon on Thursday. Many people didn?t listen, placing chairs all along Main Street Wednesday. Two men were so annoyed that their fellow New Jerseyans violated the law that they removed the chairs from their spots and stacked them on Wednesday night.

Police then confiscated the chairs.

The Toms River parade is the largest Halloween parade in the state of New Jersey. It begins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
