Police: 2 men wearing masks beat, stab bicyclist

Police in Freehold say a man riding a bike to his apartment was jumped, beaten and stabbed by two men wearing masks.

Police in Freehold say a man riding a bike to his apartment was jumped, beaten and stabbed by two men wearing masks.
The incident happened Sunday around 10:30 p.m. along Stonehurst Boulevard, near Route 9.
According to police, the 24-year-old man was riding home from work when the men jumped out and yelled at him to stop.
Police say he kept pedaling, but the men caught up, eventually beating and stabbing him.
The wounded man was able to pedal back to his apartment and call for help.
He was rushed to Neptune Medical Center, but there is no word on his condition.
Nothing was taken from him.
There have been no arrests yet.
