A school board meeting was held Tuesday night in Wall Township, where the board voted to stop all work on the temporary trailer classrooms outside of Central School.
Video and photos surfaced last weekend of conditions parents say are unfit for learning.
Superintendent Cheryl Dyer emailed fifth-grade parents Monday, letting them know their children would be moved back into the school while additional repairs were made -- including pest control after an infestation of ants took over at least one of the trailers.
Questions remained by parents who wanted to know what the administration knew, and when – and why -- they weren't told of the additional repairs until after they took their concerns to the media.

"Board of Education Members, are you comfortable repairing these trailers rather than replacing them? This would not be acceptable for your own children,” says parent Samantha Bassett. “Please do the right thing and tear these down, thank you."

Business Administrator Brian Smyth also says the work required permits, which weren't requested until Tuesday.

"Framing [that] needed to be repaired or replaced obviously required the need for a permit and the district applied for the permit, I want to say today," says Smyth.
The only work done now will be securing the area so children can safely use the nearby playground.
Dyer met with teachers and faculty Tuesday, explaining how the four fifth-grade classes will relocate inside the already crowded school.
