Officials say that a man died Sunday morning in a West Babylon house fire.

Police say there were four people in the 15th Street home when the fire started, just before 6 a.m.

They say 39-year-old James Vella was pronounced dead at the scene.

Another man in the house was treated for minor injuries and smoke inhalation.

A police officer was also treated for smoke inhalation.

A woman and her son in the house were not injured.
