A Lakewood police officer was killed in a motorcycle crash Saturday, officials say.
The accident happened on Thompson Bridge Road just before 5 p.m.
Nicklas Shimonovich, 23, was identified as the victim. He was not on duty at the time.
Shimonovich was a two-year veteran of the force.
The cause of the crash is under investigation
