Oak Street students say bus driver accused them of stealing money
Students in Lakewood say their bus driver accused them of stealing $25 and then detained them against their will for about two hours.
Children of Oak Street Elementary School say the driver with Klarr Transportation, based in Lakewood, refused to drop them off at their bus stops Thursday.
They say he pulled into a parking lot where parents heard them screaming and called police.
Klarr Transportation says video recorded on the bus proves the driver is not at fault.
Calls to the police department and the superintendent of schools for comment have not yet been returned.
