New York City Health + Hospitals/Kings County is celebrating the diversity of patient care as part of Black History Month.

Hospital officials say one of the main reasons they're celebrating diversity is to help get rid of the stigma that surrounds asking patients tough questions as they seek care.

The celebration attempted to address the causes of health disparities, while celebrating what makes black history so great.

Students from P.S. 235 joined in to give the adults a history lesson about their black role models and were encouraged to talk about racial injustice.
