A tree split in half and fell on a two family home in Dover causing some families to be displaced.

Red Cross stepped in to help provide temporary assistance to the families impacted by downed trees at Victory Gardens.

A FirstEnergy crew member on scene says the split was not due to the heavy storms that New Jersey saw on Monday.

One person was inside the home when the tree fell. No one was injured.
