New changes are coming for the nation's largest statewide public transportation system.
NJ Transit is creating a pathway for buses between Secaucus and Meadowlands making it easier for travelers to get easier transportation at 15X, the Secaucus Junction Station. These changes would supplement existing train service, according to NJ Transit.
This is phase two of NJ Transits' final plans to implement environmentally friendly transit access between Secaucus Junction Station and the Meadowlands.

What changes will look like for the Secaucus Junction Station

  • A new ground level terminal at the Meadowlands.
  • Changes to the existing bus infrastructure at Secaucus Junction.
  • More frequent trips to help continuously move a stadium worth of people between the two locations.
NJ Transit has not yet set a date for the new changes. The hope is for this to help secure a more efficient way of getting people to and from the entertainment venue for events at MetLife Stadium, as well as World Cup games in New Jersey in 2026.
