MONTCLAIR - New York Yankees legend Yogi Berra celebrated his 90th birthday by cutting the ribbon on a brand new exhibit at his museum in Montclair.

Seven months ago, a number of items were stolen from the museum. The stolen items included championship rings, MVP awards and items from the 1927 World Series.

On Tuesday, Berra was presented with replicas of all the items that were taken, and New York and New Jersey declared it Yogi Berra Day.

"The robbery here was a tough thing for all of us. It was like someone had come in and invaded our space," says Berra's granddaughter Lindsay Berra. "Not that grandpa needs any validation of this amazing baseball career that he's had, but this is really the physical reminder of all these awesome things that he's done, so we're happy to have everything back."

A petition online has been created for Berra to receive the Freedom Medal. He needs 100,000 signatures.
