Xanadu mall project to get facelift, name change

EAST RUTHERFORD - The Xanadu mega-mall project at the Meadowlands is getting a makeover following a study from the governor's office.

Project developers Triple-Five have agreed to change both Xanadu's name and appearance.

Jon Hanson, who headed Gov. Chris Christie's committee to study the project, says he has met with Triple-Five. According to Hanson, the developers agree Xanadu's multi-hued exterior needs a major facelift.

Gov. Christie has called the Xanadu building the ugliest in the state.
