The deer had an arrow stuck in its jaw for about a week.

ROCKAWAY - New photos show that New Jersey's favorite deer is on the road to recovery.

The deer was spotted last week with an arrow through its jaw in a Rockaway woman's backyard.

State Fish and Wildlife officials were able to tranquilize the deer last weekend and remove the arrow. They expect the animal to make a full recovery.
