Woodbridge community unites to help victims of devastating fire

WOODBRIDGE - Community donations poured in today to help the 50 families that lost everything in the devastating fire that destroyed two apartment buildings in Woodbridge on Tuesday afternoon.

Items are being collected at the Woodbridge Community Center and the Evergreen Center in Colonia. The items will then be taken to the First Presbyterian Church of Avenel, where it will be sorted by volunteers and distributed to families.

Donations will be collected through tomorrow.

Organizers say they are set with clothing and toys, but could use gift cards and money.

Those interested in making monetary contributions can do so through the mayor's office.
