A woman is recovering from injuries today after being hit by a police cruiser in Westwood.Police say the woman was jogging through a red light

WESTWOOD - A woman is recovering from injuries today after being hit by a police cruiser in Westwood.

Police say the woman was jogging through a red light at Kinderkamack Road and Westwood Avenue when the officer, who had a green light, struck her. The incident occurred just before 6 a.m.

She was taken to the hospital where her injuries were considered not life-threatening.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
