Woman confesses to lacing boyfriend's meal with cocaine

SOUTH BOUND BROOK - Authorities in Somerset County say a woman laced her boyfriend's dinner with cocaine.

Police say the unidentified man showed up at the South Bound Brook police station on Friday night. They say he is OK, but his girlfriend, Monica Cookman, 29, is behind bars and facing charges.

Officials say the man told them that Cookman insisted on making him dinner after work. The man said the food didn't taste right, and then his throat became numb and his heart began to race. Cookman was reportedly questioned by South Bound Brook police and confessed to lacing the meal with cocaine.
