ROSELLE - A woman who went to have her car repaired Tuesday night says she was taken captive by an employee.
The Union County prosecutor says the 23-year-old woman arrived at Shelbourne Motorsports on East First Avenue late in the evening. Police say she was beaten and held against her will by one of the employees.
Ricky Suepoi, 52, of Westfield, was arrested on multiple charges, including kidnapping, aggravated assault and attempted sexual assault.

Authorities say the victim was forced to perform sexual acts over several hours while he threatened her with a fake gun before she managed to call 911 at around 2:45 a.m.
The prosecutor's office says she was able to provide her location before the suspect allegedly started stabbing her with a screwdriver.
When officers from Roselle and Roselle Park arrived moments later, they say they could hear her screams coming from inside the building.
The prosecutor says the victim and suspect are former acquaintances and nothing more. Shop owner Robert Shelbourne says he believes there's more to it than that, but declined to elaborate. He wants the public to know he had nothing to do with the alleged assault and that he has severed ties with Suepoi.
The victim suffered multiple stab wounds and was taken to the hospital. She has since been released.
Suepoi is being held on $500,000 bail and is due in court on Aug. 1.
