Woman allegedly set fire to home, attempted to kidnap girl

Officials say a fire in Washington Township has been deemed a case of arson and attempted kidnapping.

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP - Officials say a fire in Washington Township has beenĀ deemed a case of arson and attempted kidnapping.

Authorities say Lynnette Mcguire and her cousin Denise Coyle intentionally set a home onĀ fire Friday night.

They say the fire was set in an attempt to kidnap Mcguire's 3-year-old daughter, who is living with her grandparents.

Nobody inside was injured, but the fire displaced two adults and four children.

Both women have been charged with aggravated arson and attempted kidnapping.
