NEWARK - The recent wintry weather has caused flight delays and cancellations all over the country.

Travelers at Newark Liberty International Airport say they had a difficult time getting home from New Orleans' Louis Armstrong International Airport. Cass Chafer, from Somerset County, said he and his wife were supposed to be in their home by now, but their original flight had been delayed due to the poor weather in Houston.

Ridgefield Park resident Jessica Go said her original flight home out of Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport was canceled due to the icy weather in Texas. She said the roads near her son's home in the Lone Star State were so icy she spent the entire visit inside.

More than 1,900 flights across the country have been canceled, with United Airlines alone canceling 300.

More than 600 of Tuesday's flights have been canceled in anticipation of continuing poor weather.
